1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using GeoCapital, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

2. Description of the service

GeoCapital is a web-based geography game for learning and memorizing capital cities. Features may include game modes, user accounts, saved results, public leaderboards, statistics and future personalized training tools.

3. Accounts

You may create an account using email/password or Google sign-in. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate registration information and choose an appropriate username.

4. Usernames and public profile information

Usernames, country flags and leaderboard results may be visible publicly. GeoCapital may remove or change usernames that are misleading, offensive, impersonating someone else, or otherwise inappropriate.

5. Fair play

Do not cheat, manipulate requests, interfere with the database, automate gameplay, submit false scores, attempt to bypass security rules, or disrupt the service. GeoCapital may remove suspicious scores or restrict accounts to protect the integrity of the game.

6. Leaderboards and statistics

Challenge mode scores may be saved to public leaderboards. Training mode scores are for practice and do not count toward public rankings. Leaderboard logic may change over time to improve fairness, performance or accuracy.

7. Content accuracy

GeoCapital aims to provide accurate country and capital information, but geography data may change, and acceptable names or translations may vary. If you notice an error, report it through the Contact page.

8. Availability and changes

GeoCapital may be updated, interrupted, modified or discontinued at any time. Features may be added, changed or removed, including accounts, statistics, leaderboards, advertising and training tools.

9. Intellectual property

GeoCapital’s branding, interface, design and original code are owned by or licensed to GeoCapital. Third-party assets, libraries and services remain the property of their respective owners.

10. Advertising

GeoCapital may later display advertising, including through Google advertising products. Ads do not imply endorsement by GeoCapital. Additional cookie or consent notices may be shown where required.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to use GeoCapital for unlawful purposes, harassment, spam, security attacks, scraping, automated abuse, or attempts to access data that you are not authorized to access.

12. Disclaimer

GeoCapital is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that the site will always be available, error-free, secure or perfectly accurate.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, GeoCapital is not responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential damages related to use of the site, loss of data, service interruptions or leaderboard changes.

14. Privacy

Use of GeoCapital is also governed by the Privacy policy.

15. Governing law

These terms are intended to be governed by the laws applicable in Québec, Canada, unless another law is required to apply.
